About

Hi there. You’ve reached the ‘about’ page for The Music in My Ears. I only just figured out how to get this page onto the homepage after six years. So here’s the lowdown of what this place is about.

This blog has been an ongoing platform since I was 17, starting out as an initial place where I would just share whatever thoughts and opinions came into my head. With this idea set in my head, I went onto Blogspot giving it the disastrous domain title: http://whatwhatidontknow.blogspot.com/. As you can see I had no idea what I was going to do with this blog initially.

I’m into music and had a lot of songs on my then iPod touch so I thought “Why not write about those?” And I have done. Starting from the letter ‘A’ and going through alphabetically, it’s been my goal to write about (almost) every song I have on my electronic device right through to the numbers. I now have an iPhone SE, but most of the songs I have on there are the same. I try to write about other stuff here and there. But that’s my main ‘series’.

In 2014 I made the switch to WordPress, gave the site a better name and here it is today. Have a read through of whatever you fancy. A lot of my older posts are a bit much; I like to think I’ve improved in my writing voice since then. Below is what I had originally written for this page all those years ago in my first year of university.

An English student at Coventry who spends most days listening to music (old and new), reading about it and writing about it however informal it may be. And studying too, obviously.

Check out my ongoing iPod stuff.

Two random songs and a whole album I dig:
